About Us

Suncoast Partnership to End Homelessness was formed by community leaders from Manatee and Sarasota Counties in 2005, with the ambitious vision of ending homelessness in our region.  They recognized the critical need to unify efforts and coordinate resources to drive change on this issue.

We serve as the lead agency for the Manatee and Sarasota County Continuum of Care (CoC), FL-500, responsible for the oversight, planning and operations of the entire CoC including:

​

• Year-round leadership, planning, and support for the CoC.

• Serving as the collaborative applicant for federal and state funding opportunities.

• Administering grants that support our partner agencies in delivering services to those at risk of and experiencing homelessness.

• Managing the Federally required Homeless Management Information System (HMIS), referred to as Community Services Information System (CSIS) within our CoC.  This valuable tool is used to collect client-level data on the provision of housing and supportive services to people at risk of or experiencing homelessness.  Through this regional coordination, we can coordinate housing plans, reduce duplication of services, evaluate system gaps and needs, and report our successes.

• Facilitating our community’s coordinated entry system, Oneby1.  Coordinated entry allows our CoC to identify and triage those who are in need, and work together on permanent housing plans.

Housed people are not homeless!  And HOME is the foundation we all need to lead healthy and fulfilling lives.  By lifting up those most in need within our community, we enhance the quality of life for all.  Suncoast Partnership continues to work diligently to bring resources, best practices, innovative solutions, and critical coordination to our community, to serve as a catalyst for a Manatee and Sarasota where all can thrive.
